We have two regular club runs each Sunday morning, usually 50 miles with a cafe stop.

Club Runs

Regular road racing through the season at the MK Bowl, and on road circuits nationwide, including national events.

Road Racing

NBRC members regularly tour by bike, in the UK and abroad. This is a scene from Robert's recent tour in the Outer Hebrides.

Cycle Touring

Time trials are popular, and a good introduction to competitive cycling. Find out about our 2016 club time trials.

About the North Bucks Road Club

The North Bucks Road Club aims to foster all areas of cycling. We have regular club runs, and many members participate in club time trials (we hold a regular series of Wednesday evening events through the season), open time trials, sportives and road racing. NBRC on Social Media

The North Bucks Road Club has a Facebook page. This is a good place to look for last minute notes about events, details of extra club rides etc. It's managed separately from this website, but material is copied between the two sites. You can always access the Facebook page via the menu item above.

We also now have a Twitter account - @NorthBucksRC.

If you're keen on using newsfeeds, there is an RSS feed of Latest News.

NBRC Calendar

This week's time trial will be a 20 mile event covering two laps of the Astwood course, starting at 9.00am. Entry is £3.00 (members) and £5.00 (non-members).

This event is two laps of the Astwood circuit, and it's the NBRC Time Trial Championship for which first claim NBRC members can win awards. All riders are welcome at this event.

All are welcome: make sure you turn up in time to sign on. You'll need a mechanically sound bike and a bike helmet. We recommend the use of a rear light. You need to be 12 or over to ride time trials; if you are over 12 but under 18 you will need permission from a parent or guardian to take part (download a permission form in pdf format and in Word format).

Download the latest Course Description and Risk Assessment (pdf) - please note we will be using the version of the course starting and finishing in Astwood village itself (meeting point near the junction of Astwood High St and the A422) - apart from this, the course description and risk assessment are correct. Please take take care to give way when passing through Astwood after finishing the first lap.

The weather was lovely - sunny and cool at the start, with a reasonably gentle breeze that offered a bit of a head wind to the Chicheley turn. Unfortunately only two riders turned out. But the event went ahead anyway, thanks to Tony, Bryan and Steph (who was racing this afternoon in an open event on the Brogborough course - sadly the amended version owing to ongoing water mains repairs)
