UPDATE (17/3/17, 5pm): We note cones were placed at two of the roundabouts on this course earlier this week. We have inspected the course on Friday afternoon and it appears to be clear: we will of course check the situation before the event starts, but at this time we are confident the event will go ahead as planned. Keep an eye on this website and Facebook page for updates.

This morning's event is our first in the 2017 TT League to be held on the Stoke Hammond course.

If you are new to the course, please review the course description and risk assessment. Here is the Course route - includes download links for many GPS enabled computers.

All are welcome at our club time trials: make sure you turn up in time to sign on. You'll need a mechanically sound bike and a bike helmet. We recommend the use of a rear light, especially in evening events. You need to be 12 or over to ride time trials. If you are under 18 you will need permission from a parent or guardian to take part (download a permission form in pdf format and in Word format). Each of our courses has a route description and a risk assessment. Make sure you have familiarised yourself with the course!

The event starts at 9.00am, and entry is on the line at £3.00 (NBRC members), £5.00 (non-members).

Quite a warm morning, considering it's only mid-March, and the rain held off nicely. There was a bit of a breeze out there to give a little difficulty on the outward leg. The roadworks had all been suspended for the weekend, we think: certainly the course was clear for our event.

Congratulations to James for the win!  Claire Stanton was taking photographs.

Handicap Results

Another good turn out with 23 riders facing the timekeepers. We had 1 PB and 13 riders new to this course (remember, at least one prior ride on the course is required for a handicap time to be calculated).

Many thanks to the Sign Posters and to our finish Timekeepers.

Well done everyone ( and we got away with the weather - just!!)
