This week's event in the 2017 NBRC TT League is the Hardriders 22 mile event, ridden over two laps of a circuit that includes the climb at Bow Brickhill. This course is complex, so make sure you are familiar with the course and its risk assessment!

Course Description    Risk Assessment    Map of course (includes downloadable gps files)

All are welcome at our club time trials: make sure you turn up in time to sign on. You'll need a mechanically sound bike and a bike helmet. We recommend the use of a rear light, especially in evening events. You need to be 12 or over to ride time trials. If you are under 18 you will need permission from a parent or guardian to take part (download a permission form in pdf format and in Word format). Each of our courses has a route description and a risk assessment. Make sure you have familiarised yourself with the course!

The event starts at 9.00am, and entry is on the line at £3.00 (NBRC members), £5.00 (non-members). Signing on is at the start, on the road between Woburn Sands and Bow Brickhill.

A beautiful sunny morning greeted the 20 riders who started. However it wasn't actually very warm, despite the sunshine! Several riders could be seen shivering before starting, and at least one timekeeper was very cold at the end...

Congratulations to Barry Connolly for the win, and commiserations to Ant Newland for puncturing out on the course.

Handicap Results

A good turnout of 20 riders (3 NBRC 1st Claim) on a brisk (4 degrees C), bright and breezy morning. Only 2 riders had previously ridden this course and the attached handicap results are uncommonly sparse.

Many thanks to Robert Saunders and Katja Rietdorf for setting out (and retrieving) the signs and for standing as marshalls,  to Steph Cousins for timekeeping and well done to all the riders.
