The following points are based on CTT risk assessments for time trials. The NBRC club time trials generally involve a relatively small number of riders and officials.

  • Competitors should not attend if they feel ill in ANY way or if family members have any symptoms. This includes unusually elevated resting heart rate. If your heart rate behaves unusually during warm-up, DO NOT START.
  • Ideally all warm-ups should be done on the road, although at the discretion of the organiser static warm-ups can be permitted if strict social distancing can be maintained.
  • Competitors MUST NOT gather in anyway regardless of current guidelines in the car park, HQ area or elsewhere.
  • Competitors MUST NOT leave any personal items with the time keeper.
  • Competitors on finishing MUST NOT stop at the finish and MUST NOT loiter at the HQ/car park and MUST pack away and leave immediately upon completion of the race.
  • No support can be provided if a competitor suffers mechanical difficulties. It is strongly advised that all competitors carry with them a spare inner-tube/tubular, pump and tyre levers if required.
  • It is strongly advised that all competitors carry a mobile phone and take with them the telephone number of the event organiser. Please telephone the organiser if you have failed to finish the event.

The North Bucks Road Club seek to minimise contact by observing the following rules:

  • Maintain social distance at all times. No shaking hands or other physical contact.
  • Entry is via internet, with payment online. By avoiding cash transactions, we minimise contact between individuals.
  • There will be no entry on the line. Online entries will close 24h before the event.
  • The start list will be published online ahead of the event – at the event collect your number (remembering to maintain social distancing), and after the event, drop your number in the bag for the organisers to later disinfect.
  • Signs will be placed and collected by the same individual, and will be cleaned following the event.
  • Riders (and others) must not congregate near the timekeeper at the start or the finish. Results will be posted online shortly after the event is completed.
  • We will not hold riders at the start. Riders will have one foot on the ground until their start.
  • We cannot have team time trials or tandem rides.
