We had a telephone call from Jack Debono of Pedal Taiwan concerning a virtual cycling event they are running. From our conversation, it seems that they are using the virtual cycling platform Rouvy. It's not clear to me if this is a 'virtual race' or a 'virtual sportive'.

Just to go over what I said on the phone, we've partnered up with a leading virtual cycling platform (Rouvy), ‘Action Medical Research’ and ‘The Taiwan Tourism Bureau’ to bring cyclists a race that lets them virtually experience cycling through the central mountains in Taiwan: the home of the Taiwan KOM Challenge.

The race will be free for all participants, with an optional fundraising element for Action Medical Research. It will bring North Buck Road Club members the opportunity to win some genuinely amazing prizes, compete against a current British Champion as well as other cycling celebrities, and win a spot in our live finals event in London!

We plan on releasing the entry tickets very soon so I’ll be more than happy to send you over some more information once they are available which you can send out to the members of your club.

Our latest blog post explains the initial concept of the event which can be seen through our website:
The Pedal Taiwan Virtual Cycling Race.

Best wishes,
