The North Bucks Road Club Time Trial League
John Smith Memorial Series
The Club is delighted to announce the resumption of our Club TT League. We will start with the event on 14th April, and we are making changes to how we manage our events to ensure we are compliant with CTT guidance. Entries will be required in advance of the event, with payment online.
Coronavirus precautions: We will provide detailed guidance on how we plan to organise this event to ensure that riders and officials are protected. NBRC Coronavirus Precautions
New CTT Regulations: All competitors must have a functional rear light on their bicycle. No light, no ride. This regulation would have been in force for 2020, but we cancelled our events due to the pandemic!
All are welcome at our club time trials: make sure you turn up in time to collect your number (entries will be made online). You'll need a mechanically sound bike and a bike helmet. A working rear light is now required by CTT regulations. You need to be 12 or over to ride time trials. If you are under 18 you will need permission from a parent or guardian to take part (download a permission form in pdf format and in Word format).
Each of our courses has a route description and a risk assessment. Make sure you have familiarised yourself with the course!

The results of this time trial will be posted online shortly after the event has been completed. These data include riders’ Names, Club, Category and their Result.
The club time trial on Saturday September 18th (9am start) will be over two laps of the Astwood circuit. This is an invitation event open to clubs who've supported our club time trials over this and past seasons.
It will be an invitation team competition (not a TTT) with a field limit of 40 riders.
Entry will be as usual via Results Base and preference will be given to invited teams as follows:
Chronos RT
QN Racing
MK Road Club
Team MK
Leighton Buzzard RCC
Bossard Whs
NBRC
Equipe Velo
CC Luton
Team Corley
Teams are invited to enter 4 riders each with the best 3 to count as team time. We'll sort the field after entries are in to avoid bunching of riders..
Individual riders may enter and will be held as reserves to make up a full field after the teams have been allocated if the field limit permits. Our regular podium finishers will be given preference in this case. Field layout will separate team riders.
Prizes will be presented after the event at the Bike Bus and comprise...........

Report and Results
The race was held over two laps of Astwood, starting and finishing in Astwood - we all gathered at the BikeBus for the results and presentations. (Apologies for the delay, which was due to technical difficulties - but at least coffee and cakes were available.
The day began with thick fog patches and it was quite cool. However on the spot of 9am, the fog just lifted to reveal clear blue skies and under the sun, it was lovely and warm. As for every event this season, signs were placed by Dick, and the background website organisation by Robert. ResultsBase handled the entries. Timekeepers for the event were John and Steph. A big shout of thanks to all, and also to the other timekeepers through the season, especially Katja and Jeff. And finally, a further big shout of thanks to the riders who have made the series of time trials so successful, not least the event today. Graeme Church was taking photographs, perhaps we can post them (or a link) later.
Anyway, with that, on with the results.
