EVENT HEADQUARTERS

Building 19, Cranfield University, Cranfield, Beds, MK43 0AL. For those of you familiar with this course, this is not the same HQ as previous, but is only 200 yards from it. It is a BIG building with “Building 19” on the side. The HQ set up including refreshments is on the first floor viewing platform overlooking the squash courts. Use the steps to the first floor to reach it, or if your legs are hurting, use the lift! There are excellent male and female shower facilities available to use.


SIGNING ON AND NUMBERS

Signing on, numbers and Risk Assessment details and a course map are all available at the Race HQ.


PARKING

Please park considerately in the roadways either side of the Race HQ, keeping to one side only. Do not block access for residents, students or delivery vehicles. Under no circumstances park on the grass.


COURSE DETAILS

START on Astwood Road, 0.5 mile south of Bourne End. Continue to Astwood Village. Turn left at 'T' junction in centre of village and proceed to A422 where turn left. Continue along A422 to Chicheley. Turn left into minor road and proceed to North Crawley where turn left, go through village, and continue along unclassified road. Turn left again onto minor road sign-posted Astwood and Bourne End. FINISH  200yds short of start .  

 

FOLLOW THE MAIN COLLEGE ROAD NORTH TO REACH THE COURSE, TAKING EXTREME CARE NOT TO OBSTRUCT RIDERS ALREADY RIDING

 


NORTH BUCKS ROAD CLUB – CLUB TIME TRIAL

Please note that the North Bucks Road Club are running a club time trial for their members which starts at 1.00pm and will use the same course and Race HQ, so “Don’t panic”, Corporal Jones, if you see riders on the course when you are on your way to the event.

THE WOODBINE HAYLOCK SALVER


The Woodbine Haylock Salver is awarded to the fastest Association member. The current holder of this award is Jason Gurney who, as the N & DCA overall points winner in 2007 is last man off.

Local Regulation no 1: No u-turns should be made in the sight of the start or finish areas whilst riding on the public highway

Local Regulation no 3: No cars other than that of the timekeepers and other event officials are to be parked in the vicinity of the start or finish points

Please note in the interests of your own safety Cycling Time Trials and the event promoters strongly advise you to wear a Hard Shell Helmet that meets an internationally accepted standard. This is mandatory for all Junior and Juvenile Riders
