Aaron is organising the Foxley Classic LVRC race on 9th September, and the club will require assistance on the day. Aaron writes:
The Foxley Classic LVRC races are to be held on 9th September, race starts at 10am. Race is in the morning only and the HQ is at Greens Norton Community Hall (not the A5 Rangers club rooms). We have a full field of 80 riders and I now need to start pulling things together. We will need marshals, drivers, signing on, people to serve teas and coffees etc so any volunteers much appreciated so I can allocate jobs.
We have a club meeting on Monday 13th August, at the Inn on the Lake.
Please send any agenda items to Steph or Robert (see Contacts page).
We'll be back on the Astwood course for this week's event to be held on Wednesday 15th August, starting at 7.00pm, using the version of the course that starts in Astwood. The meeting point is near the junction of Astwood High Street and the A422. Entry is £3.00 (members) and £5.00 (non-members).
All are welcome: make sure you turn up in time to sign on. You'll need a mechanically sound bike and a bike helmet. We recommend the use of a rear light. You need to be 12 or over to ride time trials; if you are over 12 but under 18 you will need permission from a parent or guardian to take part (download a permission form in pdf format and in Word format). The course has a route description and a risk assessment. Make sure you have familiarised yourself with the course, and remember that time trials are held on open roads - take care and be observant of other road users!
