Backup Course: In the event we are unable to use the scheduled course, we will run the event on the Astwood ‘10’ course. Please make sure to check your email prior to the event.
Notes: A fast course with several roundabouts. There are traffic lights on the course – if they are at red, you must stop. The start is at the top of Brogborough hill.
Enter this event. Entries cost £5 for NBRC members, £7 for non-members, and are handled via the CTT's online entry system. You can join the North Bucks Road Club for £10. First time riding one of our time trials? Read how the entry system works. Results will be posted on the NBRC and ResultsBase websites shortly after the event is complete.
Please note a protective helmet and front and rear lights are mandatory. Time trials are ridden on open roads, and riders must ride accordingly. Review this statement regarding safety and insurance.

Results
We've long known that the Brogborough course (F15/10) would be lost due to upcoming building work at the site of the new theme park. We were a bit disappointed that it seemed to be looming so soon when long-term traffic lights were installed the day before our event. Fortunately, as it turned out, they wouldn't be activated for a few days. So we were clear to go for this opening event of our 2026 club time trial series.
Less fortunate was the pretty strong wind that promised to make the return leg considerably harder than the outward leg. As it turned out, this was made even worse by the blustery squall with heavy (and cold) rain that clobbered us towards the end of the event. Back at the meeting point, we were shivering with cold!
Congratulations to Rob Fletcher who seemed to shrug off the conditions to take the win (also on veteran standard) with a fine ride of 22:20. Another excellent ride from Isaac Barrall.
Many thanks to Ian (admin) and Dick (Timekeeping and signs). Both Ian and Dick were at the finish line, and got pretty cold and wet when that horrible rain squall blew through.
This may have been the last time the course will be used...
