NBRC Time Trial League 2021

We have resumed our club time trials following CTT guidance on holding time trials in a coronavirus safe manner. Our first event was on 14th April and will continue through the season, unless another lockdown is enforced.

Please visit the 2021 Club event page for announcements of each event, the calendar of events, and our coronavirus precautions.

As part of our coronavirus precautions, we will not be handling cash at our events and we require pre-entry online. We are working with ResultsBase for entries and timing (the same URL is used for all events in the series). Entries should go live at about 10am seven days prior to each event and close at midnight before the event. Results appear on the ResultsBase web page as they come in, and final results tables (including Vets placings and updated league tables) will be posted on the NBRC website.

NBRC on Social Media

The North Bucks Road Club has a Facebook page. This is a good place to look for last minute notes about events, details of extra club rides etc. It's managed separately from this website, but material is copied between the two sites. You can always access the Facebook page via the menu item above.

We also now have a Twitter account - @NorthBucksRC.

If you're keen on using newsfeeds, there is an RSS feed of Latest News.

North Bucks Road Club website privacy statement

The club website holds the following personal data:

  1. Contact email addresses for Club Committee members, required for prospective and current club members to contact the club - these are not listed as plain text on the web page.
  2. We post results of our time trial series on our website. These results contain the following information on race participants: Name, Club, Category, Placing, Time. We also include results on veteran standard and on our own handicapping system. Race participants include members of other clubs and those unattached to clubs.
  3. During the season, we compile League Tables in a number of categories, which are derived from the results described in paragraph 2 above.

We occasionally post results of cycling events organised by other clubs on the website: usually these link to the organisation under who’s rules the event was run (e.g. British Cycling, LVRC, CTT) .

We do not hold member details on our website, and no members have accounts on the website except the web site manager. We do not handle membership or take payment via the website.

We do not hold contact details of members (other than email addresses of Committee Members as noted above), and do not circulate emails from the website.

Cookies - The club website does not set cookies on user computers.

Logs - The website back-end logs failed attempts to log in to the administrative area of the website.

We have chosen TMG Horizon as the chosen vendor for manufacturing the products. TMG are a local company using the latest fabrics that are very supportive, breathable, aero and offer compression qualities. Pease read more about the products at the TMG Horizon website.

The North Bucks Road Club was formed in 1952, after a meeting in the Wheatsheaf pub at Bow Brickhill. Frank Allcorn wrote a brief history of the club for the 40th anniversary, which was reprinted for the 50th anniversary dinner in 2002, and which can be read here. More recently, Derek Taylor has written and published a history of the club, priced £6 - contact Derek for further details.  The club caters for all types of cycling, with members actively racing in time trials and in road races, but also audax, cycle touring and sportives.

Download and complete the application form.  Don't worry about finding proposers and seconders - if you bring it along to one of our club nights, we'll sort that out. First claim membership in 2020 is £25, second claim is £20.
