Notes: This is a classic sporting course. Note that we will use the start in Astwood rather than near the Bike Bus.

Entries cost £5 for NBRC members, £7 for non-members. You can join the North Bucks Road Club for £10. First time riding one of our time trials? 

Please note a protective helmet and front and rear lights are mandatory. Time trials are ridden on open roads, and riders must ride accordingly. Review this statement regarding safety and insurance.

Results

With the end of the heatwave, we were expecting rather variable weather. Some weather forecasts were predicting light rain up at Astwood, others even suggesting thunderstorms. While such rainfall would be good for gardens, it wouldn't have been great for a time trial! In the event, we stayed dry, though the humid and warm conditions made for a hot and sticky race.

Jamie took the win again, despite suffering a puncture at about the halfway point. His tubeless tyre held about 20psi, but I think his ride back ti the finish would have been a bit cautious! On veteran standard, Robert took the win. 

Many thanks to Dick for the timekeeping and sign placement and to Robert and Ian for the admin. With sunset at 20:04, we didn't hand around long enough for rehydration therapy at The Old Swan this evening.
