The race HQ for this event is the Astwood village hall.  The hall will be available from 8am to 10.30am - somewhere warm to change, have a cuppa and a chat.  No parking outside the hall - park in the usual place (see map).  Please note that in the past, the hall managers have declined to rent out the hall to cycling clubs due to poor behaviour (not on the part of the NBRC) - please behave in a considerate manner, and don't disturb the local residents, particularly those livine near the hall.  Full course description and risk assessment .

Icy wind, mixture of snow and sleet, a heavy grey sky and Astwood. Who'd have thought anyone would want to ride in the third of Ian's "winter warmup" club time trials under these conditions. No one, I hear you say. How wrong can you be! Eight of our club mates and one hooligan from down south queued up to battle against the elements and stopwatch to prove us wrong. Mary was well impressed your persistance and courage…you could tell that by the way our wonderful lady time keeper tried to smile through the rapidly forming icicles and the snow as it settled on her head! Well done all of you. The challenge was met and personal battles won, some in shorts! Heroes.  Thanks are due to the support crew. Ian (organiser), Chris (photographer), Bryan (pusher off), Chris Parkes for the chat and not forgetting Astwood village hall for the warmth and hot drinks after the event.
