Saturday sees the first in the 2013 NBRC time trial series. We kick off with an event on the Stony course - 11.4 miles on the course variant we use. This event is designated a medium gear event (72"), but usually most riders turn out on their usual geared time trial bikes!

The event starts at 9am. Visit the course description for details of the meeting place and risk assessment. Entry is £2.50 (members) and £3.00 (non-members). Visitors and members of other clubs welcome.

Result

Three riders turned out on a cold and wet morning. Of the three, Steve Torley seemed to be in good form, and regaled us with tales of meeting his new coach (Pete Read of Black Book fame). For my part, my aching back had not been helped by the 18 mile ride out to the event - in the end I cruised round once I found that I was unable to muscle a decent gear up the climb to Nash.
