 Results

A disappointingly overcast evening nevertheless saw a good turnout of 25 riders, including two tandem crews. Conditions seemed to be conducive to good performances, however, with two riders coming in under 22 minutes. Congratulations to Simon for a clear victory, but I'd really like to flag up  Anthony Batt's recent run of form (tonight's event is no exception). Tony Parks is still returning to form from his recent broken hand (plus chasing the return of his racing mojo). Good to see the tandems out - I was caught on the return leg by the Bunyan-Newland machine, which looked pretty smooth from where I was. On a personal note, I was quite pleased to do my best '10' of my (admittedly limited) season. Commiserations to the evening's puncture victim. And of course, many thanks to the start-line crew - Tony, Steph and Bryan. Sunnier conditions next week, please!
