This week's event is a 20 mile time trial, run over two laps of the Astwood course. See the description of the Astwood '10' course for details and risk assessment. The event starts at 7.15pm, and as usual entry is £2.50 (members), £3.00 (non-members).

Results

15 riders turned out on a surprisingly cold evening (I think we'd all been duped by recent weather into expecting nice warm conditions) for this two lap event at Astwood. The event was won by Simon Cannings in a fine time of 45:15, despite claiming to be very cold (he looked it too!). For my part, I found the nagging headwind that affected the second half of each lap a bit of a problem and found it all a little hard going! Another good ride from Anthony to take second place. I'm particularly envious of Geoff's third place, as he's contemporaneous with me in veteran terms! Next week we're off to Stony once again.
