It's back to the Stoke Hammond course for this week's evening event. We start at 7.15pm, with entries at £2.50 (members) and £3.00 (non-members). If you've not ridden the course before, you are advised to review the course description and risk assessment. While traffic levels on the course have remained relatively light, we've noticed that the new McDonalds outlet has increased traffic flow near the signing on area. Please take care when warming up.

We had warm but humid conditions for this event, though I felt this was a bit of a slower evening than for our last outing on the course, and indeed I, along with others, went backwards, timewise. I was rather pleased not to be caught by Tony Parks this evening! Tony won the event, with all top three riders getting under 23 minutes.

Up on the main dual carriageway section of the course, I found the going quite tough, presumably to do with wind directions. According to kevin, he had one of the longest skids he's experienced, when he got a bit cu up by a car at a roundabout. He'd passed Katja, who was presumably entertained by his manoeuvre! The traffic didn't seem terribly heavy (except in the vicinity of the new McDonalds), but I thought drivers were passing me a little tight at times.
