UPDATE - Course change

Owing to roadworks on the Astwood circuit, this event will be held on the Stagsden '10' course. Note that the meeting point is not the same as that for the Astwood course.

The event is the first of 2013 to be ridden on the Astwood 10 mile course (F5v/10 Astwood course description). If you've not ridden the course before, please do review the course description and the risk assessment. The event starts at 9.00am, so get there in time to sign on and have a briefing if you're new to time trialling. Entry is £2.50 (members) and £3.00 (non-members).

This will be the first event to count towards the new TT League.

Results

A cold morning with quite wet roads. A stiff breeze from the west meant the outbound leg was quite a grovel for most of us. Richard Wood's winning 22:53 was a fine ride under the circumstances, with Anthony Batt taking second with 23:38. (I saw Anthony looking real cool on his return leg, while I grovelled into the headwind!). This was the first counting event under the new league rules - keep an eye out for the league tables.
