Back to Stony Stratford this week. We've been using a backup course due to traffic lights on the usual course - it's not clear yet which course we'll be using, but the meeting point and the start are the same for both versions.

Update: Bryan has been out on the course, and reports:

Roadworks/traffic lights still in place in the centre of Beachampton yesterday. Trenches are still open, so I'm pretty sure we will be on the alternative course (through Whaddon) tomorrow evening.

Looks like the Whaddon variant tomorrow evening, once again. The event starts 7pm, and is £2.50 (members), £3.00 (non-members).

Results 

A very warm evening made for sticky conditions for the ten riders who turned out for the event (an all-veteran field!). The win was hotly contested, with only 25 seconds separating the top four riders. Robert took the honours, but only just! How about using this course as the basis of a hardriders event in the 2015 season? The road surface is clearly bad enough for the purpose, and the outbound leg in particular is pretty hard going!
