Stony 11.4 - 7/3/15

Saturday 7th March sees the first in the 2014 NBRC time trial series. We kick off with an event on the Stony course - 11.4 miles on the course variant we use. This event is designated a medium gear event (72"), but usually most riders turn out on their usual geared time trial bikes!

The event starts at 9am. Visit the course description for details of the meeting place and risk assessment. Entry is £2.50 (members) and £3.00 (non-members). Visitors and members of other clubs welcome.

This event is not a counting event in the club league.

Results

Although well above freezing, the strong wind kept it feeling pretty cold (and made controlling deep rim front wheels a bit of a struggle!). Nevertheless, we had a fine turnout of 16 riders for this event. A cracking ride from Jason Gurney took the win. All I have to say, he looked damned good as he came past me!
