Stony '11.4' 13/5/15

Back to the Stony 11.4 mile course for tonight's event. If the roadworks are still there in Nash, we'll use the replacement course that routes through Calverton and Whaddon, turning at the A421.

The event starts at 7pm, and entry is on the line at £2.50 (NBRC members), £3.00 (non-members). Maximum number of riders 40.

Results

A fine early summer evening saw a turnout of 18, including a large group of Equipe Velo riders. We used the 'proper' 11.4 mile course, since the lights at Nash were gone. Leigh Smith took the honours on his new TT bike, with his Team Equipe colleagues Richard Golding and Simon Moss taking second and third places. Some of us will have spotted Steve Abraham while out on the course, off the recumbent trike and back on the Raleigh bike (albeit with his crutches strapped on), and back on the world mileage record trail.

Andy Sutton, I think in his first time trial, took a wrong turn at Nash and was a DNF.

I'll compile the NBRC League tables this weekend now we've had enough events to make it worthwhile.
