We will hold a third Come & Try It event on the Astwood course with the HQ based at the Bike Bus cafe on Sunday 16th August, starting at 10 am. Sign on at the BikeBus cafe. Entry is £2.50 (members) and £3.00 (non-members).

All are welcome: make sure you turn up in time to sign on. You'll need a mechanically sound bike and a bike helmet. We recommend the use of a rear light. You need to be 12 or over to ride time trials; if you are over 12 but under 18 you will need permission from a parent or guardian to take part (download a permission form in pdf format and in Word format). The course has a route description and a risk assessment. Make sure you have familiarised yourself with the course, and remember that time trials are held on open roads - take care and be observant of other road users!

Update: We are aware that there are traffic lights on the course between Chicheley and North Crawley. Riders are expected to respect the lights!

Further Update: We regret that we have to cancel Sunday's Come & Try It event. From inspecting the course it seems as though there is at times partial closure of the road, and stripping of road surface. Considering we are hoping for riders new to time trialling to take part, we felt the best option is the cancel the event. We intend to use the course for our evening event on Wednesday 19th August, assuming the roadworks are complete - riders would be welcome to ride then.
