A strangely windy morning made things twitchy at times for riders with aero wheels. Third placed Simon was on a road bike, while fourth placed Nathan Gallavan suffered the indignity of his tribar extensions choosing to come loose at some point during the event. Team Grumpy has a rule about that sort of pre-event tinkering with bikes!
