Stony Stratford 11.4 mile Time Trial 13th April 2022

Course change - owing to road closure on the Stony course, we will be using the Brogborough course instead (you can rean the course details in the entry for the event on 6th April)

This event is to be held on the Stony 11.4 mile course. If you are new to the course, please review the course description and risk assessment. Here is the course route - includes download links for GPS enabled computers.

No entry on the line – entries close 24h before the event.

In the event of roadworks or other problems, we will use the Brogborough course (F15/10)

The event starts at 7.00pm Wednesday 13th April, and entries will be made online at £5.50 for members and non-members alike. Maximum number of riders 30. THERE WILL BE NO ENTRY ON THE LINE FOR THIS EVENT.

The meeting point is in the car park by the river, on Calverton Road, near the start by Milford Avenue.

Remember to bring both front and rear lights if you plan to ride home after the event.

The results of this time trial will be posted online shortly after the event has been completed. These data include riders’ Names, Club, Category and their Result.

Results

After an afternoon of quite heavy showers, we were blessed with more or less dry conditions, with wind that eased as we set up and ran the event. This was on our backup course for the event, after roadworks closed the Stony course originally planned.

Congratulations to Daniel Chambers for the win, just a few seconds faster than Gavin Howell. Taking third place, and first on Veteran standard was Mark Halliday - I think this was a PB for him, so well done. We're hping to have some photos later on.

Many thanks to Chris Selley (and his junior support team) for placing the signs, Steph Cousins for timekeeping, and Robert for handling all the website stuff. Oh, and Mark Halliday for bringing the Stony roadworks to Robert's attention!
