Stony Stratford 11.4 mile Time Trial 3rd August 2022
This event is to be held on the Stony 11.4 mile course. If you are new to the course, please review the course description and risk assessment.
The Stony course is an out and home course, turning at a roundabout. The course is nominally a 10 mile course, though in the form used by the North Bucks, it comes in at 11.4 miles. There's a fair bit of climbing in the outward leg, but that means it can be quite quick on the return leg!

Start List
Not too many takers this evening, but I think it will be warm and dry, unlike our last two events.
We're hoping to go to the pub afterwards.

Results
After two events at Astwood marred by pretty heavy rain, it was good to race in nice warm and sunny conditions. On the other had, there was a stiff breeze with strong gusts to content with, which made the outward leg even harder than usual.
Four riders started, with Daniel taking the win on actual time. Robert once again took the win on veteran standard.
After the event, we went to the Shoulder of Mutton for a beer, sitting outside in the setting sun - excellent company from riders and helpers. No phones were left behind this week, all belongings accounted for.
Many thanks to Steph for timekeeping (app assistance from Katja, I think). Steph also placed the signs for the event.
