Stoke Hammond 10 mile Time Trial 10th August 2022
This event is to be held on the Stoke Hammond course.
If you are new to the course, please review the course description and risk assessment. Here is the Course route – includes download links for many GPS enabled computers.
The event starts at 7.00pm on Wednesday 10th August, and entry is online only at £5.50. Maximum number of riders 40 – THERE WILL BE NO ENTRY ON THE LINE FOR THIS EVENT.
In the event of roadworks or other problems, we will use the Stony Stratford course (F5u/10).
The results of this time trial will be posted online shortly after the event has been completed. These data include riders’ Names, Club, Category and their Result.
Start List
First rider will be off at 7.01pm. The weather looks sunny, dry and warm this evening! We plan to stop at the 3 Locks pub after the event.

Results
This evening saw a continuation of the recent heatwave, and the riders found the conditions quite warm, to say the least. This, combined with very gentle winds promised good racing conditions (provided the riders didn't overheat!).
And so it proved - at least two riders recorded their best times on this course. Steph improved by around 30 seconds and Martyn (following a bikefit apparently, which has benefited recent outings) by over a minute. So well done both.
Robert took a narrow victory with 22:43 over Adrian's 22:52, and also took the first place on veterans standard (unsurprisingly, since he was the oldest rider this evening!). But actually, it was a good evening for all riders, which some of us celebrated by retiring to the 3 Locks pub a couple of miles down the road, where we enjoyed the sunset.
It was also good to see Dick out for the first club event in ages since his hip operation - he was doing the sign placement along with Chris. Many thanks also to Katja for timekeeping.
