Backup Course: In the event we are unable to use the scheduled course, we will run the event on the Astwood ‘10’ course. Please make sure to check your email prior to the event.
Notes: A fast course with several roundabouts. There are traffic lights on the course – if they are at red, you must stop. The start is at the top of Brogborough hill.
Enter this event. Entries cost £5 for NBRC members, £7 for non-members, and are handled via ResultsBase. You can join the North Bucks Road Club for £10. First time riding one of our time trials? Please note a protective helmet and front and rear lights are mandatory. Time trials are ridden on open roads, and riders must ride accordingly. Review this statement regarding safety and insurance.

Results
Up until a few days before this event, the weather forecast had looked pretty grim, with a fair bit of rain. As it turned out, it was sunny and quite warm. But that wind! We had a pretty stiff and blustery tailwind out to the turn (which was nice), followed by an equally stiff and blustery headwind back to the finish (which was not so nice). There were 12 riders on the start list, 10 of whom rode the event.
The win was taken by Sam McDonald (St Neots CC) with 20:29. Very, very quick time given the conditions. Second place went to Robert Saunders (NBRC), more than 3 minutes back in 23:39, with Drew Sheffield (Elysium RT) in third place with 24:45.
On veteran standard, Robert Saunders took the win, with Wendy Clarke (Greenlight PT/NBRC) in second place and Richard Moule (Bossard Wh) in third place.
Special mention to Isaac Barral's ride - he was the youngest rider this evening, with an excellent ride.
Many thanks to Dick Selley for sign placement and time-keeping, and Robert for the IT stuff. And well done to all riders who turned out to struggle back into that headwind. With a time of 20:29, I'm not sure Sam struggled!
