Results

There was a definite autumnal feel for this event, with light showers threatening (though they held off well), cooler temperatures and quite blustery conditions. Seven riders lined up for this time trial, and the win was taken by Jamie Wooldridge with a convincing margin over second place Rob Saunders. Fortunately for Rob, his advancing years meant he had enough of an age-related handicap to hold on to first place on vet standard.

Stuart Tarry had the misfortune to unship his chain with about two miles to go. I seem to remember this happening not so long ago.

After we all finished, some of us repaired to The Old Swan for a beer and pizza. Excellent pizza in fact.

Jim Eastment was back and out on the course to take photos. High resolution versions. Apparently the photos taken after the start weren't up to his usual exacting standards, so we just have the shots of the riders [speeding/grovelling/grinding] up the hill (delete as appropriate) to the finish line.

Many thanks to Dick Selley for signage and for timekeeping, Rob Saunders for the IT side of things, and Jim Eastment for the photography.
